Schioppettino (pronounced [skjoppetˈtiːno]; meaning "gunshot" or "little crack" also known as "Ribolla Nera") is a red Italian wine grape grown predominantly in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeast Italy.
Think of Schioppettino as a cross between Syrah and Cabernet Franc; it’s similar enough to these two French varieties that it sometimes acts as a gateway to Italian wine for French loyalists
Food pairing: With soft past cheeses and dry pastry. Fantastic with snacks. To be served at a temperature of 10-12 °C.
Storage: To be kept in fresh places at a temperature of 12-16 °C, far from light, avoiding to store it long time in refrigerator.
